At Cloud Astronauts, we offer digital hands-on adventures for the CLOUD using SPACE as a theme to make learning fun and engaging for the non-engineer. We provide curated, downloadable guides to help anyone see how the cloud and AI really work by creating story-based scenarios (‘Missions’) that are solved by using real services on the Cloud or an AI service.
Our mission at Cloud Astronauts is to enable people of all ages and skills to learn what the Cloud is and how it works by using hands-on labs that are fun and engaging. With our curated, downloadable guides, anyone can learn, anytime they want, anywhere they wish - all at their own pace.
Our goal is to inspire 1 million people to learn about the cloud by 2025.
Test Pilot Users
We use space as a theme to make learning more engaging. It may be a bit quirky, but we think it is a lot more fun than many of the alternatives. As a ‘Test Pilot’ user, you will get to execute 'missions' that help you learn about the cloud, AI, and other technologies. You can be a professional, a teacher, or someone just interested in learning.
Our products are digital, not physical. When you purchase from Cloud Astronauts, you will get an email with a link to download the files that contain all the materials needed for each mission (check your junk mail folder if you do not see it immediately). The links are active for 60 days and you can download up to 2 times.
Our materials are a variation of the old Show-and-Tell. We do ‘tell’ and then ‘show’. We tell you with words what to do and then we show you with a picture that comes with very specific notations on every screen you work with. Participants learn about the services they are using and get to see them in action.
No prior technical knowledge is needed to work with our missions. In fact, we assume you have none. We don’t teach coding. We provide detailed scripts to help you learn how a service on the cloud works, but they are specific to the missions we create and not intended to make anyone an expert. They do increase your Cloud and AI IQ. They do open a path to going deeper and growing your knowledge.
At Cloud Astronauts, we also believe in making the experience of learning about the cloud as safe as possible. We show you how to set up an account on a cloud provider and we show you how to remove it. We encourage safe practices like Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) to secure your access and user identity. We also promote cleaning up all of the resources we have you create. We warn you if there is a financial impact and provide guidance on how to minimize cost.
Warranty & Content:
As noted in all of our modules, Cloud Astronauts cannot warranty or guarantee that materials in our guides are perfectly up to date with the latest cloud developments. Cloud providers like Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) make changes constantly by the tens of thousands per month. Their pace of innovation is incredible. We strive to give you the best possible materials, but these guides can never be perfect given such a high volume of changes on the platforms on which they occur. You may see minor differences between the documentation and the services you are using. As noted, use of this content is entirely at your own risk and discretion.
We are a small boutique shop. We love our customers. We offer our products at a low cost so that everyone can enjoy them. But we are too small to offer individual one-on-one support. If you find a problem with our mission documentation, please let us know and we will do our best to make a correction as quickly as is possible. But if you have a technical support issue on the cloud, we will have to refer you to the providers of cloud services and their expert support teams to help you resolve them.
Promote. Don’t Pirate.
We hope you like the products we have developed to inspire knowledge and learning. Please do promote these to your friends, family, and colleagues. With your support, we can create more innovative ideas to foster learning in all ages. Please do NOT copy and share our materials with those that have not purchased them. Thank you for your consideration and your support for Cloud Astronauts.
