The Mission 8 - Mars Colonist Search (Part 2) Flight Package continues your data detective role for Mars Colony leadership by completing a data investigation on a proposed future colonist search campaign. In this Part 2 of a 2-part exercise, you will complete the data investigation of a suspicious data file by creating a machine learning model and investigating the resulting predictions for bias. This mission does not require coding or technical skills.
Your Test Pilot Scenario: Mars Colony leadership has asked you to lead a forensic data investigation of materials provided by a whistleblower that may have built in biases. It is critical to determine if the data is biased or not and report back to Mars Colony leadership. You will dive into machine learning once again and this time determine if the resulting machine learning model has a bias problem, a great first introduction into the ethical side of Artificial Intelligence. In the process, you will gain valuable insights about how machine learning works in the real world, the very real impact of bias from bad data, and a chance to significantly increase your AI IQ on the ethical side of AI.
